Who can apply?
The award is open for all private sector companies registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of the company size (micro, small, medium, and large). It is awarded to companies within the categories (“People” and “Resources & Environment”) by size (for example, small companies compete with other small companies).
Application deadline
The application period for the SDG Business Pioneers Award is opened on January 1, 2024 and will be closed on March 15, 2024.
How to apply?
The process is based on a simple e-application form that takes a few minutes. If you meet the initial criteria based on this application, you will be contacted for additional information about your company.

About the Award
The SDG Business Pioneers Award aims to promote the efforts of the private sector in the field of sustainable development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2024, we will announce the sixth generation of SDG Business Pioneers. The application process follows specific standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in the social, environmental, and economic dimensions, assisting companies in measuring their performance based on international standards.
The Award is the part of the programme “Translating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina into Sustainable and Inclusive Growth (SDG2BiH)”, funded by Sweden and implemented by UNDP in partnership with UNICEF and UN Women as part of the overall support provided by the United Nations to the Bosnian and Herzegovinian authorities in implementing the SDG Framework in the country. The official partner of this Award is the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
